GOD’S PLAN FOR HEALTH
The following will build your immune system to help keep you well year-round.
- Drink plenty of water (half of your body weight in ounces each day).
- Avoid consuming caffeinated beverages, chocolate, spices, mustard, vinegar, highly
processed or refined foods such as white flour or sugar, and animal products. (Do
not smoke or drink alcoholic beverages.)
- Eat lots of raw fruits and vegetables, especially the following: Kiwi, oranges,
grapefruit, lemons, cantaloupe, strawberries, blueberries, spinach, kale, broccoli,
cauliflower, bell peppers, carrots, and sweet potatoes. Dark-colored produce is the
most nutritious. Eat food in as natural a state as possible. Stop eating just before
you feel full. In general, wait at least 5-6 hours before your next meal, eat at
regular times each day, eat nothing in between meals, and avoid eating after 6:00
p.m. Sometimes eating just two meals a day is best.
- Exercise at least 20-30 minutes daily outside (preferably in fresh air and sunshine).
- Take a high-quality vitamin D supplement if you cannot get enough sunshine.
- Use natural anti-viral herbs and foods: thyme, sage, rosemary, garlic, ginger, onions,
berries, and sprouts. Immune system products from health food suppliers are also
beneficial.
- Sleep at least 6-8 hours each night, keeping a regular schedule. The best hours are
before midnight.
- Relax, be happy and trust in God. His remedies are the best!
For I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God (Psalm
43:5).
God will not work a miracle to keep those from sickness who have no care for themselves,
but are continually violating the laws of health, and make no effort to prevent disease.
When we do all we can on our part to have health, then may we expect that the blessed
results will follow, and we can ask God in faith to bless our efforts for the preservation
of health. . . . But let all understand that they have a work to do. God will not
work in a miraculous manner to preserve the health of persons who are taking a sure
course to make themselves sick, by their careless inattention to the laws of health.
