I would like to express a situation which I have been faced with as of late. I am currently a first year _____ resident working in a healthcare system in _____. Having noticed some discrepancies with regards to how the billing is done for some patients I have decided that I needed to make my convictions known. I realize that God had brought it with undoubted certainty to my understanding so that I could make a decision. That being the case I have indicated to the appropriate individual what my convictions were in writing. I do not know what the outcome will be. It was indeed a tough decision to make but I know that God wanted me to do that which I know is right in His sight.
There is a possibility that I could be dismissed from the residency program. However, I see that it would be a very trying experience for a Seventh-day Adventist to operate (in keeping with the principles of their faith) in the healthcare system as it is established by nonbelievers. I know these are indeed the last days and I want to be saved in God's kingdom. God has proven Himself faithful throughout all of my life. He has shown me that He cares in numerous ways. He has answered my prayers directly, indicating without a doubt that He indeed is the True and Living God who hears the pleas of His children.
I can practice in a certain capacity in _____ without having completed a residency, however there would be limitations. What has recently surfaced may be God's way of removing me from a system which He knows will eventually lead to my turning away from Him. If that is the case, then let His will be done. I do not know what the future has in store, but I know that God is in control. Please keep me in prayer. The messages you have conveyed from God have certainly been a source of reproof and encouragement to me.
Addendum: The final word is that I can document according to my own judgment with regards to billing. To God be the glory. Thank you for your prayerful support.
