The Messages from the Lord have been a guide to us and a sure revelation of truth in this earth’s final moments. The devil’s age old strategy of mingling truth with error is so subtle. As Scripture says, if it were possible he would deceive the very elect. There are so many doctrines and teachings being brandished about that if one is not grounded in the Word, they would surely be deceived. The Lord has not left us without guidance. Just as in the early history of the SDA Church when He sent messages through His servant to guide His people, so in the closing stages of history He has again sent us messages through His chosen messenger to guide us and reveal truth to us.
Two examples of how the Messages have been a revelation of truth and a guide to us are as follows:
1. The message, “Repent as I Am Coming” of Nov. 12 2008, revealed to us (myself and my wife) the error of the observance of feast days and keeping of the lunar Sabbaths. We had never heard of this subject before. However, realizing through the Holy Spirit that the Messages were from God and having studied them and accepted them, we were prepared. Subsequently some close relatives of mine introduced the study of the feast days and of the lunar Sabbaths to us. They even went on to say that the King James Version of the Bible could not be trusted and we had to go back to the original language (Hebrew) to understand the Bible. Because of the revelation of the error in this course of studies we rejected them outright. The literature and book that they gave us to study we did not even bother to read because once the Lord has revealed error in a certain course of studies, there is no need to investigate. One needs to accept His word by faith, and we did.
2. More recently, a friend of ours gave us some DVD’s where the group presented a lot of truth for our time and also exposed many of the errors, spiritualism and apostasy prevalent in the SDA Church in keeping with what is presented in the Truth book. However, they kept referring in the presentation to the time period 2520, something we had never heard of before. I did some research on their website and I saw charts teaching about this 2520 period, which appeared to be very confusing and involved a lot of complicated calculations and time predictions. Then later in one of the recent messages, “Entertainment vs. Truth” of July 16, 2011, we saw revealed by the Lord that this area of study was wrong and should not be followed.
We are therefore thankful for the guidance as received in the Messages From God for His People and pray for His continued guidance in these closing times.
